I like this poster for beat poetry:

"lights by reginald"
so I took my developer hat off at 8 and I want to know how to put a pic in a post...

Re: POSTING THE MOTHERLOVING JAMS -- Please begin: |
Thanks for looking veb, I'm glad you liked the set-up and McClure poster I tweaked one of 'em a bit, the other one below... it was kind of fuzzy so I stuck a border and the title on it, at the time a step or half a step forward on the learning curve.
If I can do this, anybody can:
OK, you can put a pic in a post by picking the html code with the open arrows at each end (like so): < etc etc >
the direct link doesn't post a pic, that's for small boxes with just room for the code only I guess.
Then, as described above, you can remove the first line of arrowed in code - and substitute the archive code for a show you want to have pop up when someone clicks on the photo in one these posts, such the reply you might make to someone in this thread.
If you leave the bucket code the way it is, it'll pop back to your bucket page when the pic is clicked.
Keep the 2nd line of code linking tour photo as is in the second set of arrows, and keep the the last little line of code in the arrows that looks something like this: < / a > (if I get too literal, the arows vanish from this box!
Leave that little a in the third set of arrows alone alone unless you don't want your photo to link to anything.
Then, cut out the 1st line that starts off like this -< a (space) href (no space) = " blah blah " >
the second line between the arrows (including the arrows) is the code that makes the pic appear.
Keep the and put an archive code such as: http://www.archive.org/details/InMyMerr1932 inside replacement arrows + you'll have to add the < and then: a href=" followed by a closing: (but with no space between the arrows and quotes or code, except for just one open space between the first a and the href) " > thats all you have to wrap around the usual LMA or IA bookmark address in that replacement 1st line of code, (the code for the show or whatever LMA bookmark you've copied to share here as per usual).
it's easy, I'm just making it complicated with too much talk!
I'll try one and see if it works:

This is a really strong 1971 show, from 8/26/71 - check it out, not a gig people expect the prince of '66 to go for!
